Participation in the 2025 National Model United Nations DC Conference
The School of Social and International Studies delegated six TISS students to the 2025 National Model United Nations (NMUN) DC Conference, held in Washington, D.C., USA, from November 7 to November 9, 2025.
The student group represented United Arab Emirates in simulated negotiations with the General Assembly First Committee (GAI), the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
In preparation for the conference, the delegation members devoted significant time to researching and practicing in order to effectively and accurately represent the government of the United Arab Emirates and its policies on the assigned agenda topics. Through these activities, students enhanced their negotiation skills, deepened their teamwork, and demonstrated their collective achievements. It was a truly valuable and enriching experience.
Participating students reflected
“I had such an amazing experience that I really want to come back again! At Model United Nations, we met so many incredible people and made wonderful friends that we’ll definitely stay in touch with. Thank you very much!”
